
      MediSpell Readme document for Microsoft Word 2000, XP, & 2003

Now that your MediSpell program is installed in your computer, you
must activate the MediSpell enhanced speller.  This document will 
guide you through the easy steps needed to activate the MediSpell 
enhanced spelling dictionary.

I.   **MediSpell for Word 2000 Activation Procedure**

Step 1. Open Microsoft Word 2000

Step 2. From the Main Menu Bar select "Tools" then select "Options"

Step 3. Click on the "Spelling & Grammar" tab

Step 4. Change the "Speller Type" option from "Normal" to "Medical"

Step 5. Close Word 2000 and reopen it to activate the new MediSpell
	speller.

Step 6. Open the MediSpell document located in your
	'C:\Program Files\MediSpell for Microsoft' folder.

You are now ready to begin using the MediSpell and Microsoft spelling
dictionaries. Simply click on the Microsoft speller Icon to spell
check both the Microsoft English spelling dictionary and the MediSpell
enhanced spelling dictionary simultaneously.

II.   **MediSpell for Word 2002 (XP)  Activation Procedure**

Step 1. Open Microsoft Word 2002 (XP)

Step 2. From the Main Menu Bar select "Tools" then select "Options"

Step 3. Click on the "Spelling & Grammar" tab

Step 4. Change the "Speller Type" option from "Normal" to "Medical"

Step 5. Your new MediSpell speller has now been activated.

Step 6. Open the MediSpell document located in your
	'C:\Program Files\MediSpell for Microsoft' folder.

You are now ready to begin using the MediSpell and Microsoft spelling
dictionaries. Simply click on the Microsoft speller Icon to spell
check both the Microsoft English spelling dictionary and the MediSpell
enhanced spelling dictionary simultaneously.

III.   **MediSpell for Word 2003  Activation Procedure**

Step 1. Open Microsoft Word 2003

Step 2. From the Main Menu Bar select "Tools" then select "Options"

Step 3. Click on the "Spelling & Grammar" tab

Step 4. Change the "Speller Type" option from "Normal" to "Medical"

Step 5. Your new MediSpell speller has now been activated.

Step 6. Open the MediSpell document located in your
	'C:\Program Files\MediSpell for Microsoft' folder.

You are now ready to begin using the MediSpell and Microsoft spelling
dictionaries. Simply click on the Microsoft speller Icon to spell
check both the Microsoft English spelling dictionary and the MediSpell
enhanced spelling dictionary simultaneously.

IV. About the Free Online Speller

The Free Online Speller is bundled with the MediSpell Medical Spell Checker
for Microsoft Word. For your convenience, this free tool will remain on your
computer after removing MediSpell Medical Spell Checker. You can manually
delete it at any time.

To use the Free Online Speller, enter the medical term in the text box and click
the "Check Spelling" button. The results will be displayed on the MediSpell
online database. Unlike the MediSpell Medical Spell Checker for Microsoft Word, 
you must be connected to the Internet in order to use the MediSpell Free
Online Speller.

UNINSTALL

V.   **MediSpell for Word 2000, 2002 (XP), and 2003 Uninstall Procedure**

If you ever need to uninstall MediSpell for Word, follow the steps below:

Step 1. Change the "Speller Type" from "Medical" back to "Normal"

Step 2. From the Add/Remove Programs window in the Windows
        Control Panel, select the "MediSpell for Microsoft Word"
        item  and click the "Add/Remove" button (in Windows 2000
        click the "Change" button)

This will remove all the MediSpell files from your computer.
