Which word processing program am I using?

Not sure which version of Microsoft Word or Corel/WordPerfect you're using?  This page will help you figure it out.

To find out what version of Word or Corel/WordPerfect you are using, choose the "About" item from the application's Help menu. The resulting dialog box will contain the version number, usually on the first line. The box may also include a serial number and other information, but this is not important in determining your version. Follow the steps below:

1. Open your word processing program (the program you use to type your documents). For this example we'll use Microsoft Word 2000.

2. From the Main menu toolbar click on "Help".
   
   

3. From the pull down menu, click on "About..."
   
   

4. The following screen will display the version of your word processing program.
